These professionals partner with clients to create success stories, by developing business solutions that meet your organization's needs and impact your profits.

Collaborating with clients to create long-term solutions, the group works with management and team members to develop an array of tools, techniques and action plans. Working through these components supports your organization's success as it relates to your people and the bottom line.

Biographies

Martha Lera

Ms. Lera is a management development consultant and President of Lera Consulting Group, Inc., established in 1997. She holds a Masters of Human Resources Development Degree from Barry University and has over twenty years experience consulting in the area of Strategic Human Resources and Organization Development. Martha consults with senior level management to develop initiatives that support the organizations’ strategic goals. In addition, to consulting Martha served as an adjunct faculty member at Florida International University.

Prior to establishing Lera Consulting, Inc., Ms. Lera held several management positions in the areas of Human Resources Development including Vice President of Human Resources for a financial corporation with $1.6 billion annual sales and $7 billion in assets.

As a dynamic human resources professional, she partners with clients and progressive organizations to combine a unique meshing of human resources strengths, business efficiencies and cost controls. Lera is consistently recognized for developing and executing initiatives that enable clients to meet and exceed their organization’s needs. A conceptual thinker, she combines strong diagnostic processing techniques with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to address the organization’s requirements.

Lera partners with national and international clients in many different industries including telecommunications, travel, financial, retail and government agencies to develop human capital. Martha and her team design develop and facilitate a variety of management tools and programs that support the organization’s infrastructure.

Clients include but are not limited to small family-owned businesses, non-profits and fortune 500 corporations consisting of organizations such as Baptist Health Systems, Miami Dade College, U.S. Department of Defense, Komatsu, Balfour Beatty, Santander, Systemax, Royal Caribbean International, Noven Pharmaceuticals, Cruise Lines Industry Association, Master Card, Farmers’ Insurance, etc.

Michael Nadal

Michael Nadal is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in Sales and Marketing, Hospitality and various other industries. Throughout High School and College he worked in the hospitality industry for legendary hotel chains such as Hilton, Hyatt, Sheraton ITT, Ritz Carlton and Trust House Forte why studying Aviation.

He joined the United States Air Force specializing in Logistics providing the Tactical and Strategic aircraft Commands with vital Mission Capability procurement. Shortly after his military departure he worked for several major Fortune 500 companies and began his climb through the ladder of Corporate America. His main roles varied from Junior Management to Senior level Management in Logistics, Sales & Marketing, Production, Inventory & manufacturing Management and was employed by companies in a variety industries that included Hospitality (Hotel & Cruise, Restaurant & Entertainment), Pharmaceutical, City and State Government, Manufacturing & Production, Banking and Finance, Cosmetic & Beauty, Aviation, Academia and Logistics (Supply Chain).

Michael joined Lera Consulting Group Inc. in January of 2000 and quickly took on a Learning & Development role coupled with Consulting. Michael currently manages several high level accounts for LERA Consulting Group while designing and facilitating customized Learning & Development Programs. His 28 years of corporate experience in a many industries and positions allows Michael to use his excellent Learning and facilitation skill sets to continuously captivate and educate his audience, while creating an environment that yields results and success.

Michael has achieved various certificates of Instruction such as, Developmental Dimension Incorporated (D.D.I.), Achieve Global & Franklin Covey. He has conducted over 1000 Learning sessions for 50+ organizations and has educated over 20,000 employees.

Michael currently resides in Miami Florida and has a 17 year old son, one brother and two sisters. He enjoys playing golf and traveling.

MAGDA RICO

Magda Rico is an accomplished Human Resources Professional with over 15 years experience in corporate America. While working with organizations ranging from small to Fortune 100, she has mastered all areas of Human Resources including experience in employee recruitment and retention & termination, staff development, mediation, conflict resolution & HR policies development.

Magda Rico’s capacity has supported management in other aspects of human resources including, but not limited to applicant flow, HR records management, background investigations, group insurance administration and monthly reconciliation, workers’ compensation, benefits and compensation, state licensing & Affirmative Action planning. She assists with complaints concerning discrimination, sexual harassment, and workplace harassment and provides investigative assistance when necessary in such matters. Magda’s Human Resources talents provide guidance and support for supervision concerning employee relations and disciplinary action. In addition she assists management with ensuring compliance with corporate policies and applicable federal, state and local laws.

Magda is valuable asset to the Lera team. Magda currently lives in Miami Florida and loves spending time with her family and friends.

LUIS M. CASTRO, PHR

Luis Castro is an international human resources executive with a proven record in key areas of human resources management applied to healthcare, consumer products, transportation, and manufacturing and distribution environments. He is a highly motivated, results oriented professional with extensive management, organizational development/design and strategic planning experience. He is described as a problem solver with in-depth knowledge in formulating policies and strategies for budgets, benefits, compensation, employee relations, and talent acquisition/retention and career development.

Mr. Castro has held several senior level positions with prominent organizations (e.g., Ryder System, United HealthCare and Tenet HealthCare). He has been leading HR organizations for over 25 years. He began his career in operations (directly managed teams of 150+ employees) and then transitioned to Human Resources management. His business operations and human resources management experience provides a unique combination that sets him apart from traditional human resources leaders. He is a HR generalist that truly partners with the business.

Luis has been directly involved in managing mergers and acquisitions (domestic and global) for private and publicly held companies, including private equity. As a result, he is well versed in cultural sensitivity, development and implementation of various business models that adapt to both domestic and international needs. In addition, he has been directly responsible for managing compliance and cost effectiveness globally.

Mr. Castro holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Pacific Western University and is certified by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) as a Professional in Human Resources management (PHR). He is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the Greater Miami Society for Human Resources Management (GMSHRM).

DAILIN PENA, M.S.

Dailin’s involvement in Learning and organizational development began in the 1990s with programs for Banco Mercantile and Commerce bank. She has earned her Master of Science in Education with a specialization in Instructional Design for Online Learning from Capella University in Minneapolis and her Bachelor of Science from Florida International University. She has worked in the private industry (Banking: Banco Mercantile & Commerce bank; Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd.), government (the Federal Reserve Bank) and as a consultant in the areas of Learning and organizational development for such organizations as Balfour Beatty Construction, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Komatsu, AlphaStaff, and TigerDirect. She has assisted organizations in their strategic planning, performance and talent management initiatives, employee recognition programs, team and organizational development strategies, as well as training and instructional design initiatives using various delivery modalities.
